We built the Lab to be a quiet place to walk the epic. This page explains, plainly, what information we handle when you read, sign in, or support the Lab — and the care we take with it.
You can read most of the Lab without giving us anything — your progress lives in your own browser. If you sign in with Google or make a purchase, we collect only what's needed to run your account and process your payment securely. We never sell your data, and we don't track you across the web.
You can browse the Lab freely. You only share information with us when you choose to:
Like most websites, our hosting servers record basic technical information when you visit — device and browser type, approximate region (from your IP address), pages viewed, and the date and time. We use this in aggregate to keep the Lab working, understand which teachings are used most, and protect against abuse. We do not use it to build an advertising profile of you.
The Lab saves your journey in your browser's local storage so it carries over between visits. If you're signed in, we may also sync some of this to your account so your progress follows you across devices. It includes your reading mode, daily streak, 30-Day Path progress, quiz and exam results, māla and japa counts, bookmarks, and where you left off.
If you are not signed in, this data lives only on your device and clearing your browser removes it.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who help us run the Lab, and only as much as they need:

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences, and — where enabled — for analytics. You can control cookies in your browser settings.
The Lab loads its typefaces, including the Devanagari script, from Bunny Fonts — a privacy-first font service that does not log or track visitors, and is not Google Fonts. Read-aloud narration uses your browser's own built-in speech feature. No verses you read are sent to us to enable it.
The Lab is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. Reading the Lab requires no account; to create an account or subscribe you must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live. If you believe someone under that age has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold, and to object to certain uses. You can update your details or delete your account at any time from your account settings, opt out of marketing through the unsubscribe link, and clear locally-stored progress by clearing this site's data. To make a request, simply contact us — we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. If you are in the EEA, the UK, or another region with a data-protection authority, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, and we keep it only as long as needed. As a general guide, account information is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards (typically up to 24 months, or longer where tax, accounting, or legal obligations require); payment records are kept for as long as the law requires; and analytics are kept in aggregated or de-identified form. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but we take this responsibility seriously.
The Lab may be used from anywhere in the world; your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses — where they apply.
As the Lab grows, this policy may change. We will update the date at the top of this page, and for meaningful changes — such as new features that affect your data — we will give notice within the Lab or by email where appropriate.
